First introduced in June, Motorola's Defy is a new smartphone that arrives to please those who want a truly resistant device. Developed in conjunction with the Bullitt Group, it is ideal for extreme sports or other extreme conditions.
It is Motorola's first smartphone for this segment, and has
IP68 certification. This means that it can be dived up to 1.5 meters deep for
35 minutes.
Motorola Defy promises to withstand drops of up to 1.8 meters
If you are one of those who drop your smartphone a lot, this
is also suitable for you. With military certification MIL SPEC810H, it promises
to withstand drops of up to 1.8 meters without problems, as well as vibrations
and extreme temperatures.
You can count on a
6.5” IPS LCD screen, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The autonomy was not
forgotten, as the terminal has a battery of 5000mAh capacity. Charging will be
done at a maximum of 20W.
This is not, however, a properly powerful terminal in terms
of processing. It features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 662, and comes with 4 GB of
RAM. Base storage is 64GB but can be expanded via microSD.
The cameras will also
be modest. The main sensor is 48MP, and is supported by 2MP depth and macro
sensors. The front camera has 8MP. The smartphone comes with Android 11 from
the factory.
Motorola Defy costs €329.99 in
Portugal
At the while of writing this article, the smartphone is
already on sale officially in Portugal for €339.99 at retailers Worten and
Fnac. For €329 can also be purchased from Amazon Spain with free shipping to Portugal.
